The Room Experience

My room was on the 15th floor with views toward the Singapore River — actually pretty stunning, especially at sunset when the light hits all those heritage buildings. The space felt modern and spacious by Singapore standards, with floor-to-ceiling windows that really showcase the cityscape. What I loved was how they’ve incorporated subtle local design elements without going overboard with the theme. The bathroom was particularly impressive, with a separate shower and soaking tub that I definitely made use of after long days exploring the city.

Breakfast at the restaurant is honestly one of the better hotel spreads I’ve experienced in Singapore. They’ve got this extensive buffet that covers everything from traditional kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs to full English breakfast and fresh Asian options — you could easily spend an hour just sampling everything. The luxury touches throughout the hotel feel genuine rather than flashy, and there’s parking available if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car from this location.

You’re getting genuine five-star service and amenities, but you’re also in a location where you can actually experience Singapore rather than being stuck in some isolated hotel bubble. It’s the kind of place where couples particularly seem to thrive (and I can see why, given how romantic those river views are), but it works equally well for business travelers or anyone who wants to be in the thick of things without sacrificing comfort.

  Very new and modern (only a year old) and had facilities that you would expect. Excellent view of Marina Sands from rooftop pool which looks great at night. Easy walks to get to a lot of main attractions, including river, museum, Bugis+ Shopping, and a bit further to Orchard Rd. One block to hop on/hop off bus stop and super close to train stops (City Hall and others).
