Mondrian Singapore Duxton Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Mondrian Singapore Duxton, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical five-star hotel. The building sits elegantly on Duxton Hill, and there’s something refreshingly intimate about the scale — it feels more like a sophisticated urban retreat than a massive luxury tower. The entrance has this understated confidence that whispers rather than shouts, which honestly sets the tone perfectly for what’s inside. The design philosophy extends throughout, creating an atmosphere that balances contemporary elegance with genuine warmth and approachability.
Prime Chinatown Position
The location is absolutely stellar, and I mean that — couples consistently rate it 9.5 out of 10, which tells you everything. You’re right in the heart of Chinatown, but on Duxton Hill specifically, which is sort of the neighborhood’s most charming pocket. Within minutes you can wander to traditional shophouses, authentic hawker centers, and some of Singapore’s best bars. What’s brilliant is that you get all this local flavor while being perfectly positioned to explore the rest of the city. The MRT connections are solid, and honestly, you’ll find yourself walking more than you expected because everything feels so accessible. The neighborhood truly rewards exploration at every corner.
Luxury Accommodations
The rooms at Mondrian Singapore Duxton strike this perfect balance between contemporary luxury and local character. Each space feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter fancy — you know what I mean? The interiors blend modern sophistication with subtle nods to Singapore’s heritage, creating spaces that actually feel special. The attention to detail is what you’d expect from a five-star property, but there’s a warmth here that prevents it from feeling sterile or overly formal. Amenities are carefully curated to enhance comfort without unnecessary excess.
Dining and Amenities
The continental breakfast setup works well — it’s refined without being fussy, offering quality options that fuel your day properly. What I particularly appreciate is how the hotel’s dining spaces feel integrated into the neighborhood rather than isolated from it. The restaurant offerings reflect both international standards and local culinary traditions. The property also offers private parking, which is genuinely valuable in this part of Singapore where street parking can be tricky. It’s one of those practical luxuries that you don’t think about until you need it, then you’re incredibly grateful it’s there.
Why Guests Love It
This five-star hotel succeeds because it understands its role perfectly — it’s your sophisticated home base for exploring one of Singapore’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The luxury here feels earned rather than imposed, and the location means you’re never more than a few minutes from incredible food, culture, or nightlife. Couples especially seem to connect with the intimate scale and romantic neighborhood setting. You get all the polish and service you want from a premium hotel, but with genuine character and a sense of place that makes your stay memorable for the right reasons. The overall experience creates lasting impressions that extend well beyond checkout.
The luxury concierge service in Singapore secures Michelin chef tables, sky villa stays, and private formula track laps.

A quiet, authentic part of Singapore. Very clean and appears very safe. Very good local places to eat, particularly for breakfast. Fantastic views of Singapore from the hotel rooftop. Easy access to underground. Hotel provides great sleep experience. Luxurious beds and bedding. Great aircon and quiet at night. Don’t miss a trip up to the rooftop infinity pool. Particularly brilliant views at night

Comfortable big bed, delicious breakfast, great products in the bathroom, and stunning pool area with good cocktails and bar snacks. Location worked well for us, easy to get to sky garden area and sentosa island.
Relaxed atmosphere friendly staff – Laura from United Kingdom (9/10)
One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, and such a relaxed atmosphere for our whole stay. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us, we loved our stay here!
Great hotel, great staff, great location and food was great! Thank you for a wonderful stay. – Nadene from Australia (9/10)
I travelled with my Mum. Upon checking in we were on level 5, we got moved to level 8 as our room was above the noise of a night bar at the hotel. That was our only negative. The staff were so attentive especially Izhar, nothing was a problem for him, he made us feel some welcomed at the hotel. Thank you. The hotel is very modern, great breakfast and very central location! The food at the restaurant Christinas was yum make sure you try. Beds super comfortable rooms a little on the smaller side.
The location is fantastic, so close to MRT train and area is lovely to stay in, would stay here again for sure.Great hotel, we had a great time in Singapore – Katie from United Kingdom (9/10)
Me and my husband stayed at the Mondrian as part of a long lay over (2 nights) in Singapore which was also our "minimoon" as we had just got married 2 weeks earlier. We stopped here as we're emigrating to New Zealand. Our flight landed at 8.00am, we arrived exhausted from a long flight from the UK and were planning on relaxing by the pool until we could check in- however, after finding out that it was our honeymoon the staff at the Mondrian let us check in to our room early. Getting into a comfy bed could not have been more welcome! Later on we also received a complimentary dessert to say congratulations on our wedding. A fantastic hotel, the infinity pool on the roof was a great place to recover from the flight, the staff were polite and couldn't help enough. The hotel is in a great location for getting around and exploring Singapore. I really can't recommend this hotel more highly and have already advised my family to stay here when they do a layover and come to visit us in New Zealand from the UK!
