Couples especially seem to love it here, and I get why — there’s a romantic quality to being tucked between a historic hill and the buzz of central Singapore. The hotel scores a 9.0 for location, and that number makes complete sense once you’re there.

The Rooms

The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and sensibly laid out — nothing over-designed, which I actually appreciate. You get what you need without a lot of unnecessary fuss. Air conditioning works properly (always worth mentioning in Singapore), and the beds are comfortable enough that you’ll sleep well after a long day of walking around the city. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind with interior design, but it’s genuinely comfortable and well-priced for what you’re getting in this part of town.

The breakfast buffet is a solid start to the day — there’s a decent spread and it covers the basics well, which matters when you’re trying to get out and explore early. It’s the kind of breakfast where you won’t leave hungry, and for a city hotel at this price point, that’s worth something. If you’re driving, the hotel also has private parking on-site, which is actually a bigger deal than it sounds in central Singapore where parking can be a real headache. So that’s one less thing to think about.

  Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is spotless. Room had a nice view, and it's just across the road from Fort Canning. Beds were comfortable too! We loved it and will look no further when we come back to Singapore. We booked the breakfast too upon arrival and made a mistake with our departure time (we had to leave too early to be able to have breakfast). They made a takeaway breakfast for us instead.
