What I really appreciated were the little touches — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets in useful spots, and blackout curtains that actually work. The view from my window looked out over the island’s greenery, which beats staring at another building any day.

The breakfast buffet here is honestly better than it needs to be for a four-star hotel. They’ve got the usual suspects — eggs, pastries, fruit — but also some local dishes that give you a proper taste of Singapore without having to venture out first thing in the morning. The restaurant stays open for dinner too, and while I didn’t eat there every night, the few meals I had were solid. Oh, and here’s something you don’t always get — free parking right at the hotel, which is pretty much gold if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the island.

  The room, the toilet, the pool, the staffs. Everything is excellent. They even have vending machines for midnight snacks, and unlimited tea and instant coffee. Superb! Too bad i didn’t try the food, and i only can get 1 night.
