The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without unnecessary frills. The beds are actually good (not just hotel-marketing good), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What struck me was how quiet it was, considering you’re on a fairly busy road — they’ve clearly invested in proper soundproofing, which is something you don’t always get at this price point. The air conditioning works properly too, which in Singapore’s climate is basically non-negotiable.

Local Flavor and Dining

You know what’s great about this location? You don’t need to rely on hotel dining because some of Singapore’s best local food is literally steps away. There’s this fantastic laksa place just down the road that locals actually go to, and the weekend market nearby has incredible Peranakan kueh that you won’t find in the touristy areas. The hotel staff — and this is where their repeat guest loyalty really shows — actually know these spots and will point you toward the good stuff rather than just handing you a generic tourist map.
