The Robertson House managed by The Ascott Limited Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Robertson House managed by The Ascott Limited feels like discovering Singapore’s best-kept secret, even though it’s right in the heart of Singapore. This five-star property sits on Unity Street in Robertson Quay, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — I mean, there’s a reason couples rate it 9.1 for romantic getaways. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention, which I actually appreciate more than those flashy hotel lobbies you see everywhere.
The Robertson Quay Experience
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? Robertson Quay is where locals actually hang out, not just tourists. The Singapore River curves right past your doorstep, and you’ve got this perfect mix of restored shophouses turned into buzzy bars and restaurants. I’ve spent evenings just wandering along the waterfront — it’s got that relaxed vibe that’s harder to find in Orchard Road or Marina Bay. The hotel’s location score of 9.0 makes total sense when you realize you can walk to Clarke Quay in about ten minutes, but you’re staying somewhere that feels more authentic.
Luxury Living Spaces
The accommodations here are more like serviced apartments than traditional hotel rooms, which explains why so many guests become repeat visitors. Each apartment comes with a full kitchen, and I’m talking proper appliances — not those tiny hotel fridges. The living spaces feel genuinely luxurious without being stuffy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light. What struck me most was the attention to detail in the furnishings; everything feels carefully chosen rather than just standard hotel issue.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast setup is pretty impressive — they do both American and buffet styles, so whether you want pancakes or congee, you’re covered. Having parking available right at the hotel is actually a huge deal in Singapore (anyone who’s tried to find a spot in the city center knows what I mean). The spa facilities are top-notch too, though honestly, after walking around the neighborhood all day, I was more interested in relaxing by the pool area. The service throughout feels personal rather than corporate, which probably comes from being managed by Ascott — they really know the serviced apartment game.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something special about a place that keeps drawing people back, and The Robertson House definitely has that quality. Maybe it’s because you get the space and privacy of your own apartment with all the luxury services of a five-star hotel. Or perhaps it’s the way the location lets you experience Singapore like you actually live here, rather than just passing through. The fact that it consistently attracts repeat guests tells you everything — once you’ve stayed here, other hotels probably feel a bit cramped and impersonal by comparison.
The concierge service in Singapore curates rooftop yacht parties, private hawker feasts, and behind-the-scenes garden tours.

Great central location for sightseeing but quiet location. – Anne from United Kingdom (9/10)
The location was excellent, but not right in the busy hustle and bustle of Clarkes Quay, yet only a 5 minute walk away along the river. Situated in quieter side street with good access to bus and metro stations.
Good service and good quality. Great breakfast options. Lovely swimming pool to cool off in.Comfortable layover – Irene from Australia (9/10)

Wonderful – Florian from Germany (9/10)
Very nice hotel, not too big. Well located on the singapore river and close to Fort Canning park, metro station, downtown and chinatown. The view of our room was just superb and outstanding! Despite this, the breakfast was very good and with various different options.

I liked the proximity to a wide selection of F&B outlets, and supermarket is just across the street. I appreciated the $20 F&B voucher, although I did not use it. Breakfast was great, too.
