The Room

My room was on the eighth floor, and the renovation really shows — everything from the bathroom fixtures to the air conditioning works exactly as it should. The beds are properly comfortable (not too soft, not too firm), and there’s actually enough space to open your suitcase without playing furniture Tetris. The windows aren’t huge, but you get decent city views, and the blackout curtains actually block out the neon from Clarke Quay when you need to sleep in.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast spread surprised me — it’s not just the usual continental stuff you get at most hotels. They do a proper Asian selection alongside the Western options, so you can have congee and dim sum or stick with eggs and toast, whatever you’re in the mood for. The buffet setup flows well, no awkward queuing, and they keep everything fresh throughout the morning. There’s also a restaurant on-site, though honestly, with Clarke Quay right outside, you’ll probably want to explore the neighborhood for dinner.
