The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this smart, minimalist vibe that actually works. Floor-to-ceiling windows give you proper views of either the river or the city skyline, and the blackout curtains are a godsend when you’re dealing with jet lag. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical details — plenty of power outlets, a workspace that’s actually usable, and a bathroom with a rainfall shower that has serious water pressure. The bed was one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re being swallowed whole.

Breakfast here is surprisingly good — they do both American classics and a proper buffet spread that covers most bases. The coffee is actually decent, which matters more than people realize when you’re starting your day. There’s a restaurant on-site that serves solid international cuisine, though honestly, with Clarke Quay right there, you’d be crazy not to explore the neighborhood options. The spa facilities are well-maintained and offer a nice escape when you need to decompress from Singapore’s intensity. Plus, they’ve got free private parking, which is practically unheard of in this part of town.

  The location is terrific. You are a short walk to many places of interest and can easily access the MRT network or taxi/Grab car. The buffet breakfast was quite extensive with a variety of cuisines available. The pool area was spacious enough to ensure it didn’t feel overcrowded. The 30m2 room was easy enough to move around in even with an extra roll out bed. All the staff were very pleasant, with very good English.
