Oasia Resort Sentosa by Far East Hospitality Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Oasia Resort Sentosa by Far East Hospitality, you immediately feel like you’ve stepped away from Singapore’s urban intensity into something more relaxed. This five-star resort sits right on Sentosa Island, and honestly, the moment you cross that bridge onto the island, the whole vibe shifts. The lobby has this modern tropical feel — not overly flashy, but you can tell they’ve put thought into creating that resort atmosphere without going overboard on the theme park aesthetic that some Sentosa properties fall into.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s what I really appreciate about this place — it’s positioned perfectly on Beach View road, which means you’re close enough to all the Sentosa attractions but far enough to actually feel like you’re at a beach resort. You can walk to Siloso Beach in about five minutes, and honestly, that’s one of the better stretches of sand on the island. The couples who stay here seem to get it too (they rate the location 9.2), probably because you can easily slip away from the crowds when you want some quiet time, but jump back into the action at Universal Studios or the casino when the mood strikes.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows that actually made a difference — you know how sometimes hotels promise views but deliver a wall? Not here. Most rooms look out toward the greenery or catch glimpses of the water, and the interiors strike this nice balance between luxury and livability. The beds are properly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom setup feels spacious without being unnecessarily grand. What I liked most was the little balcony space — nothing huge, but enough to sit with your morning coffee and feel like you’re somewhere special.
Dining and Daily Rhythms
The continental breakfast setup works well, though I’ll be honest — it’s not going to blow your mind with variety. What they do, they do properly, and the restaurant space has nice natural light that makes morning meals feel relaxed rather than rushed. The staff here actually seems to remember faces after a day or two, which is refreshing. For other meals, you’ve got the whole island at your disposal, but I found myself appreciating the option to just stay put some evenings and order room service while watching the sunset from the balcony.
Why Guests Love It
This resort gets an 8.2 rating, and after spending time here, I think it’s because they’ve figured out something important — luxury doesn’t always mean overwhelming you with amenities. The spa treatments are solid, the pool area feels like an actual retreat, and there’s reliable parking if you’re driving (which on Sentosa, believe me, matters). What really works is how the place manages to feel both polished and unpretentious. You’re getting that five-star experience, but it doesn’t feel like they’re trying too hard to remind you of it every five minutes. For couples especially, it hits that sweet spot where you can be romantic without feeling like you’re performing romance, if that makes sense.
