Walking up to Oasia Hotel Downtown, Singapore by Far East Hospitality on Peck Seah Street, you’re immediately struck by how this four-star property manages to feel both contemporary and welcoming. The building has this distinctive red facade that’s hard to miss — honestly, it’s become something of a landmark in the area. What really caught my attention though was how the staff seemed genuinely happy to see guests, not just going through the motions you sometimes get at bigger chain hotels.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re right in the heart of Singapore but tucked away on a quieter street that doesn’t feel overwhelming. Chinatown is literally at your doorstep — I mean, you can walk to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in about five minutes. The MRT stations are super close too, so getting around the city is actually effortless. Couples seem to absolutely love this location (they rate it 9.5 apparently), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about wandering through the nearby heritage shophouses in the evening.

The Room Experience

I’ll be honest, the beds here are something special. They’ve got this reputation for incredibly comfortable sleeping, and it’s well-deserved — I actually slept better than I have in months. The room design is clean and modern without being sterile, with these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light. There’s also this clever use of space that makes even the standard rooms feel more generous than you’d expect. The bathrooms are well-appointed too, with rainfall showers that actually have decent water pressure.

Breakfast & Amenities

The breakfast setup here is pretty solid — they do both continental and buffet options, so whether you want something light or you’re planning to fuel up for a full day of exploring, you’re covered. What I really appreciated was the variety of local options alongside the international standards. The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too — it’s free, which in Singapore is honestly a bit of a miracle. There’s also this lovely pool area that feels like an oasis above the city buzz, perfect for unwinding after walking around in the tropical heat.

  The hotel is located in a very good area of ​​the city, with a food court nearby, with shopping malls, etc. Also, you have connections with the subway, about 100 m from the hotel entrance, and bus stops, also very close.
  Public transport is impeccable.
  We had a CLUB type room – for which we received many benefits, in the price of the room: snack after the meal, alcoholic drinks in the evening, swimming pool, etc.
  The services of the hotel staff are impeccable. I want to specify an example: after we checked out and left our luggage at the reception until the evening, when we came to pick them up, we were invited to take a shower at one of the hotel's private pools and to change.

  As you arrive you see the red standout building covered in plants.
  We stayed in the club room… big and spacious with a big comfortable bed… loved the layout of the bathroom and the fact it also had a bath… the water pressure was incredible and filled up with hot water in 3 minutes. It was wonderful to swim in the big pool on the 21st floor which was nice and cooling as the weather is hot and humid… loved the fact you could have complimentary drinks and snacks in the lounge in the evening… all round it was a fabulous place to stay. And the staff were friendly and kind.

  Great hotel well situated with beautiful infinity pool. Well worth staying in the club room with all the excellent amenities. Great evening drinks and food and the staff were great. Clean and extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.
