Novotel Singapore on Kitchener Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Novotel Singapore on Kitchener, you immediately get that polished, international hotel vibe — but without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with it. The lobby feels modern and welcoming, and honestly, the staff here seem genuinely happy to see you. I mean, you can tell when hotel employees are just going through the motions, but this place has a different energy. It’s a four-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress, which actually makes it more impressive.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot in Singapore — you’re right in the Lavender district, which gives you this perfect mix of local flavor and easy access to everything else. Lavender MRT station is practically next door, so you can zip around the city without dealing with taxis constantly. The area has this authentic Singapore feel with hawker centers and local shops, but you’re still just minutes from Bugis and the main tourist areas. Couples especially seem to get this location (they rate it crazy high), and I can see why — it’s got that neighborhood feel without being isolated.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from Novotel — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything actually works properly. The air conditioning is powerful (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in Singapore’s humidity), and the bathroom is spacious enough that you’re not bumping into everything. What I really appreciated was the blackout curtains — they actually block out light, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many hotels mess this up. The wifi is solid throughout, and there are plenty of outlets for all your devices.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast buffet here is honestly better than it needs to be. They’ve got the usual international options, but also some local dishes that actually taste authentic — not the watered-down versions you sometimes get at hotels. The continental spread is solid, and they do a good job with vegetarian and vegan options too. I watched them constantly restocking everything, so even if you’re not an early riser, you’re not stuck with picked-over leftovers. The restaurant area gets busy around 8 AM, but there’s enough seating that you won’t be hovering around waiting for a table.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how many people come back — apparently they have way more repeat guests than most hotels, and after staying here, I get it. The parking is free (which is huge in Singapore), the location hits that sweet spot between authentic and accessible, and the service feels personal without being intrusive. It’s one of those places where everything just works smoothly, from check-in to checkout. You know what? Sometimes the best hotels are the ones that don’t give you anything to complain about, and this Novotel nails that perfectly.

Reviews of Novotel Singapore on Kitchener
Great hotel. Good value for money – Navya from India (8/10)
Big rooms. Very neat and clean. Close to MRt Station. Near Little India and opposite city Square mall. Great connectivity to all attractions and good amount of eataries around.
Comfortable hotel in a good location – Mark from Australia (8/10)
The reception staff were very professional in trying to accommodate our twin-bed request when there was no availability on the day. An additional comfortable bed was installed in the room without hassle. The room was quiet, and the hotel was conveniently located with the Farrer Park station nearby, enabling quick access to other areas of the city. The breakfast buffet was enormous and catered for the substantial Indian clientele but there was a reasonable range of other food as well. Good coffee was a real bonus!!

Location in Little India, felt overcrowded, recommend staying closer to Marina Bay. – Mia from Switzerland (8/10)
The rooms were a good size, and the hotel was clean. The swimming pool and gym area were great. However, the air conditioning wasn't strong enough, so the hotel still felt quite warm inside.
Very Good – Vivekanand from United Kingdom (8/10)
Excellent location with numerous south Indian restraunts nearby
Comfortable and good value for money – Ruhin from Sri Lanka (9/10)
Great location with the MRT station right in front of the hotel. The service was good, rooms were spacious in terms of SG standards, nothing much to complain about.

Location for the GP to the excellent MTR service and little India street just outside for many eating choices.
