lyf Bugis Singapore managed by The Ascott Ltd Overview
First Impressions
Walking into lyf Bugis Singapore managed by The Ascott Ltd, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical four-star hotel. It’s actually part of Ascott’s co-living concept, which means it feels more like a stylish urban hub than a traditional property. The lobby has this modern, almost industrial vibe that works really well in Singapore‘s creative Bugis district — you know, exposed concrete mixed with warm wood accents and plenty of natural light streaming through those floor-to-ceiling windows.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location here is pretty fantastic, and I can see why couples rate it so highly (apparently 9.0 out of 10). You’re right on Middle Road, which puts you within walking distance of both Bugis Street market and the Arab Quarter — two completely different experiences that somehow work perfectly together. The MRT station is literally a few minutes away, and if you’re into exploring Singapore’s cultural neighborhoods, you’ve got Little India on one side and Chinatown easily accessible by train. I mean, you can grab authentic roti prata for breakfast and be shopping on Orchard Road within 20 minutes.
The Room Experience
The room setup is where lyf really shows its co-living DNA. These aren’t just hotel rooms — they’re more like compact studio apartment with proper living spaces. Each unit comes with a small kitchenette (which is actually useful if you want to store those late-night hawker center takeaways), and the design feels very much geared toward longer stays. The beds are comfortable enough, and there’s decent workspace if you need to get some work done. Storage is well thought out too, which you don’t always find in Singapore hotels where space is at a premium.
Dining & Social Spaces
The breakfast situation is solid — they do both continental and buffet options, and while it’s not going to blow your mind, it covers all the basics plus some local touches. What I really like about this place though are the common areas. There’s a social kitchen where guests actually hang out (the co-living concept in action), and it creates this nice community feel that’s pretty rare in hotels. The restaurant and bar areas get busy in the evenings, especially with the mix of business travelers and younger guests who seem drawn to the vibe here.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really stands out? The repeat guest rate here is apparently higher than most other properties, and after staying here, I get it. It’s that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment-style independence. Parking is available on-site, which is honestly a relief in this part of Singapore where street parking is basically non-existent. The staff genuinely seems to remember returning guests, and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — it knows its audience and delivers exactly what they’re looking for. If you want upscale accommodations, look elsewhere, but if you appreciate good design, a great location, and that slightly social atmosphere, lyf Bugis really works.
To book hotel in Singapore for Formula 1 night races, travelers reserve suites early to pair rooftop cocktails with sky gardens.

Reviews of lyf Bugis Singapore managed by The Ascott Ltd
Pretty great, would stay there again – Zarinah from Brunei (8/10)
Staff was friendly, facilities were great, location was perfect
Best location and convenient accommodation – Florina from United Kingdom (9/10)
One of the most convenient hotels I've stayed. The room was designed with convenience in mind. Not the most spacious rooms for sure but as I was remote working from the room I found it quite pleasurable to spend time in the room. The kitchen and laundry facilities were great to have as well. Getting to have some fitness space was a lifesaver.
The location was just at the best place. Most Singapore attractions were either to walkable distances or super close for a taxi ride.Perfect location. Though a bit overpriced due to the size of the room and the simplicity. – Michael from Netherlands (8/10)
Location is perfect.

Good venue, clean hotel, small room – Stephen from Australia (8/10)
Well situated close to everything. I found a little bit expensive considering it was a very small room. However, was close to the F1 weekend.
Comfortable, convinient and home like – Rahim from United Arab Emirates (9/10)
The hotel has a good mix of a quiet and happening vibe at the same time.
The staff was friendly, there are nice communal resources you usually don’t see in hotels where on every floor they had an iron and a board, along with a refrigerator for visitors to place stuff in,
The room is nice and decent , comfy bed, good washroom, mirror, hangers etc.
The lobby has a great restaurant and cafe. Their iced cappuccino super lovely, they also have another big communal area to eat or warm your food like a massive kitchen but with cozy seating too in case you wana work in peace and quite
They have a self service storage in case you wana leave ur luggage which was super helpful and they had locks in there too
There is a 7/11 right down the street, for some reason the breakfast food court bit right across the road opens very late but I would recommend walking down a few minutes to find “fame coffee” for great food and coffeeVery Good – Bagui from United Arab Emirates (8/10)
The staff are very accommodating and will assist you from beginning till checkout.
