Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The four-star property sits on Telok Blangah Road, and honestly, the location surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away from the usual tourist chaos but still incredibly well-connected — couples especially seem to get this, rating the spot 8.6 for romantic getaways. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels more like a boutique property than a standard business hotel.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about this part of Singapore — you’re actually close to some hidden gems that most tourists miss completely. The Southern Ridges are practically on your doorstep, which means you can escape into nature without the usual crowds at Gardens by the Bay. Mount Faber Park is right there too, and trust me, the cable car rides up to Sentosa are way less hectic when you start from this side. You know what’s really convenient? VivoCity shopping mall is just a short ride away, but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of staying right in the thick of things.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this clean, modern design that didn’t try too hard to be trendy. What struck me most was how quiet everything was — you’d never guess you’re in one of the world’s busiest cities. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-speak comfortable), and the bathroom setup is smart without being overly fancy. I mean, sometimes you just want things to work well, and everything here does exactly that.
Breakfast and Dining
The breakfast spread actually impressed me more than I expected. They’ve got this mix of Continental, Asian, and buffet options that covers pretty much everyone’s morning preferences. The local dishes are done properly — not the watered-down versions you sometimes get at international hotels. I found myself going back for the congee and local pastries more often than the Western options, which says something about the kitchen‘s attention to authentic flavors. The restaurant area gets good natural light in the mornings, making it a pleasant spot to ease into the day.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests have been rating this place 8.5 for location, and I can see why — it’s that sweet spot between accessibility and tranquility. The fact that parking is available on-site is honestly a huge plus if you’re planning to explore beyond the usual MRT routes. What really sets this place apart is how it feels like a local secret rather than a tourist trap. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough away to actually relax and recharge between adventures. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying an extra night just because leaving feels like too much effort.
Singapore’s apartments welcome families with playground terraces, concierge grocery delivery, and quick MRT rides.

The property was very clean with extremely friendly and helpful staff. It’s in a good location for people wanting to go to Sentosa Island and useful for getting into the city with a bus stop out the front.

I stayed in so many places around the world, this place has grown on me, such a polite staff,
Rooms are small but i liked the seperated toilet and shower , the location is not the best but the bus stop right in front of the hotel makes the location reachable and connected to the city.
Did i mention about the staff , loved them , they were well trained ,on my way in, i requested an iron , the lady at reception got me the iron by herself all the way to my room , absolutely loved the effort and the care.Three night visit at Singapore – Michael from Malta (9/10)
The hotel was opened recently and practically everything is new. The bus stop in front of the hotel was really good and the cleanliness of the hotel.
Excellent stay overall – Sam from New Zealand (8/10)
* Excellent location. Not particularly touristy (it's near the 'Telok Blangah' housing estate … apologies to any Singaporeans reading if that's not the correct terminology) but easy to get to Sentosa, Vivocity etc with one short MRT ride and then connect onwards to the city. Station ~3 min walk down the road. Nice to stay somewhere a bit out of the main tourist area – we enjoyed walking around Telok Blangah (to find a laundromat and little supermarket about 5 min walk away) also a nature reserve/walking area nearby. NB: If you want to be in the heart of things in terms of downtown location or tourist spots, probably not the best … but if you don't mind taking the MRT or taxi it's an excellent spot.
* Good pool – nice condition, good temperature, long enough to do lengths.
* Fast, free wifi
* Breakfast was decent for the price
* Friendly and helpful staff
* Clean rooms and facilities, timely room servicing
* Separate shower and toilet
