D’Nova Hotel Bugis Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to D’Nova Hotel Bugis on Purvis Street, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked away on this charming little street that feels more residential than touristy, yet you’re literally in the heart of Singapore. The building itself has a clean, modern look without trying too hard to be flashy. Honestly, I was surprised by how quiet the street was considering you’re basically surrounded by some of the city’s busiest districts.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re a two-minute walk from Bugis MRT station, which means the entire city is at your fingertips. But more importantly, you’re right in this sweet spot where Bugis meets Little India and the Arab Quarter. I mean, you can grab amazing roti prata for breakfast, explore the Sultan Mosque before lunch, and hit up Bugis Street for some shopping, all without breaking a sweat. The couples who stay here really get it — there’s something romantic about wandering these historic neighborhoods together, and the three-star rating means you’re not paying Marina Bay prices for the privilege.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — you know how Singapore hotels can be tiny, but this one actually felt livable. The bed was comfortable enough, and I appreciated the modern touches like good lighting and decent Wi-Fi. The bathroom was clean and functional, though don’t expect a spa experience. What really worked for me was the air conditioning (crucial in Singapore) and the fact that the windows actually opened, which is rarer than you’d think in the city center.
Neighborhood Vibes
Purvis Street itself is this lovely little enclave with some excellent local eateries — there’s this zi char place that locals frequent, and honestly, watching the dinner crowd roll in around 7 PM tells you everything about how authentic the area still is. You’re also walking distance from Raffles Hotel if you want that classic Singapore Sling experience, but I actually preferred exploring the hawker centers nearby. The whole area has this great mix of old and new Singapore, and you’ll find yourself stumbling across little temples and shophouses that most tourists miss entirely.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest hotel you’ve ever stayed in, but it nails the fundamentals — clean rooms, great location, and genuine value for money. The fact that couples consistently rate the location so highly tells you something important: this is a place where you can actually experience Singapore rather than just pass through it. You’re paying for access to one of the best neighborhoods in the city, not marble lobbies or infinity pools. For travelers who want to explore on foot and come back to a comfortable, no-fuss base, D’Nova Hotel Bugis really delivers on what matters most.

Price worthy! – Lexiang from Australia (7/10)
Very good location, close to train station and bus stop, and there are many shopping malls and good restaurant around it. Staffs are really nice and the room is fair enough for one people to take a rest.
Written every details – Aarti from India (6/10)
Facilities such as iron, hair dryer given but no place to iron the clothes or put dryer in the socket as there was only one socket for kettle. How can u remove the kettle all the time to use for other gadgets. The room size is very very small, compact . At times irritating, the window I asked and paid more for it was for nature as I did not want AC all the time but it was packed. Ridiculous. The only thing I liked was the beautiful comfy bed and blanket with pure white bedsheet. The area was good with bus stops and MRT station was walking distance. If one can stand all this , please go ahead and enjoy your stay. They r good people. Helpful too . Good Luck.
