Citadines Rochor Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Citadines Rochor, you immediately notice how the modern serviced apartment vibe sets it apart from typical hotels. The lobby feels fresh and uncluttered — honestly, it’s a nice change from the ornate lobbies you see everywhere else in Singapore. What struck me right away was how the staff seemed genuinely relaxed, which I mean, makes sense given that this four-star property caters to both short stays and longer-term guests who basically live here for weeks at a time.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You’re literally on Serangoon Road, which puts you right in the heart of Little India without being stuck in some touristy bubble. I could smell the spices and hear the street vendors before I even stepped outside — and Mustafa Centre (that 24-hour shopping madness) is basically around the corner if you need anything at odd hours. The couples who stay here clearly get it, rating the location 8.6, because you can walk to both the cultural chaos of Little India and catch the MRT to anywhere else in the city without breaking a sweat.

The Apartment-Style Setup

Here’s where Citadines Rochor actually shines — these aren’t just hotel rooms, they’re proper studio and one-bedroom apartments with kitchenettes. I found myself using the little stovetop more than I expected, especially after picking up ingredients from the Indian grocery stores downstairs. The washing machine in the room was a game-changer (you don’t realize how much you need this until you’re traveling for more than a few days), and the space just feels more livable than cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase.

Breakfast & Dining

The breakfast situation here is pretty smart, actually — they do Asian options plus grab-and-go packages, which works perfectly when you want to eat something substantial or just grab coffee and pastries before heading out to explore. I appreciated that they didn’t try to do some massive international buffet that ends up being mediocre everything. Instead, you get decent local-style breakfast items, and honestly, with all the incredible food options in Little India right outside, you’re not exactly hurting for dining choices.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to Citadines Rochor is that it strikes this perfect balance between hotel service and apartment independence. You get housekeeping and a front desk when you need help, but you also have the space and facilities to live like a normal human being — make your own coffee, do laundry, store leftovers from that amazing biryani place down the street. The location rating of 8.6 isn’t just about convenience; it’s about being dropped into one of Singapore’s most authentic neighborhoods while still having easy access to the rest of the city. For the price point, you’re getting way more space and character than you’d find in most four-star hotels in Singapore’s business districts.

Reviews of Citadines Rochor

  • Exceptional – Rajesh from United Arab Emirates (9/10)

The highlight of my stay was losing my wallet in the room and the staff managed to find it and return it back which relieved a lot of stress. While the room was smaller in size, it was cozy for a family of 3 and we enjoyed our stay in the property. Heartfelt thanks to the cleaning crew for finding the missing wallet and the customer service staff for returning it.

  • Room was fine. This place is cheap for Singapore, location was okay, close to lot of good eating places and well connect – Rizu from India (7/10)

The room was too cold and there was an issue with the AC. So they didn’t fix it the whole day we were out even though we complained in the morning but made us change rooms in the middle of the night.

  • Definitely will come back here again. – Julian from Malaysia (8/10)

Their decision to upgrade me to a suite with a kitchenette and washer/dryer made a huge difference to my stay (being able to cook and wash my laundry in the room was very useful).
