Arcadia Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Arcadia Hotel, you immediately get the sense that this four-star property knows exactly what it’s doing. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between polished and welcoming — not so formal that you feel underdressed after a long flight, but refined enough that you know you’re in good hands. I mean, there’s something reassuring about a hotel that gets the basics right from the moment you step through the doors, and this place definitely does that.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying on Hamilton Road in Lavender — you’re actually in one of Singapore’s most underrated neighborhoods. While everyone flocks to Orchard Road or Marina Bay, you’ll be perfectly positioned between the historic charm of Little India and the trendy cafes sprouting up around Jalan Besar. The MRT connections are honestly fantastic (Lavender station is right there), which means you can reach practically anywhere in the city within 20 minutes. What I love most is that couples seem to really get this location — there’s something romantic about wandering these quieter streets in the evening, away from the tourist crowds but still close enough to everything that matters.
The Rooms
The rooms at Arcadia Hotel are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. You know how some hotels try too hard with unnecessary gadgets? This isn’t that. Instead, you get clean lines, comfortable bedding that actually lets you sleep, and windows that open (which is rarer than you’d think in Singapore). The bathrooms are well-appointed without being over the top, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. Actually, the air conditioning works perfectly — and trust me, after walking around Singapore’s humidity, that’s not a small detail.
Exploring the Area
What guests don’t always realize until they’re here is how much character this neighborhood has. You’re a short walk from some of Singapore’s best local hawker centers, where you can grab incredible laksa or chicken rice without the Marina Bay prices. The nearby Arab Street and Haji Lane are perfect for afternoon wandering, especially if you’re into vintage shopping or just want to see a different side of the city. Honestly, I think this is why the location scores so well with recent guests — it feels authentically Singaporean rather than like a tourist bubble.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a hotel that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone but instead focuses on doing the essentials really well. Arcadia Hotel gives you that solid, dependable experience where everything just works as it should. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth, the location puts you right in the heart of real Singapore life, and you’re not paying premium prices for amenities you probably won’t use anyway. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax and use as a proper base for exploring the city — which, let’s be honest, is exactly what most of us want from a hotel stay.
Exploring Singapore blends rainforest domes, street food pilgrimages, and sunset cruises framed by futuristic skylines.

The location is near from bus and also metro connecting to down town. Near fancy cafe and hawkers center. Our bed are great, the hot shower are very good. No noise from outside
Overall, our stay in Arcadia Hotel was very pleasant. I will recommend this to others. – Espinosa from Philippines (7/10)
The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. Complimentary drinking water was refilled, and fresh towels were served on a daily basis. The location is close enough to the MRT station and convenience stores. The front desk personnel allowed us to pay on installment basis: half payment during check-in day and remaining half during 4th day (we checked out on 5th day).

Nice hotel for a weekend in Singapore – Maeva from France (7/10)
Nice hotel near Bendemeer. I had a nice terrace.
My first visit to Singapore, amused how echoes of Britain still abound – UK 13 amp square pin! – Francis from United Kingdom (7/10)
I like small, quirky hotels, I hate big international hotels. On this count the hotel was the sort I liked, Although the dividing partitions looked thin, my room, at the rear of the hotel on the third floor was exceptionally quiet, the air conditioning functioned efficiently, and receive two bottles of water each day. The room fridge was a bit small, but in Singapore I thought the room was value for money. Christened area 'Little Paris' street cafes etc. FH

Muslim traveller with 2 kids above 12. Excellent set up despite it being a shoplot hotel. 100m to bus stop. 500m to Bendemeer MRT. There are a couple of cafes opposite the hotel and saw some bars nearby too. Had a great stay!
